There was a farmer who had a horse and a goat…..
One day, the horse became ill. So he called the veterinarian, who said:

"Well, your horse has a virus. He must take this medicine for three days.
I'll come back on the 3rd day and if he's not better, we're going to have to put him down.

Nearby, the goat listened closely to their conversation.

The next day, they gave the horse the medicine and left.

The goat approached the horse and said: “Be strong, my friend.
Get up or else they're going to put you to sleep!”

On the second day, they again gave the horse the medicine and left.

The goat came back and said: "Come on buddy, get up or else you're going to die!
Come on, I'll help you get up. Let's go! One, two, three..."

On the third day, they came to give the horse the medicine and the vet said:
"Unfortunately, we're going to have to put him down tomorrow. Otherwise,
the virus might spread and infect the other horses".

After they left, the goat approached the horse and said: "Listen pal, it's now or never!
Get up, come on! Have courage! Come on! Get up! Get up! That's it, slowly! Great!
Come on, one, two, three... Good, good. Now faster, come on...... Fantastic! Run, run more!
Yes! Yay! Yes! You did it, you're a champion...!!!"

All of a sudden, the owner came back, saw the horse running in the field and began shouting:
It's a miracle! My horse is cured. We must have a grand party. Let's kill the goat!!!!

The Lesson:
Nobody truly knows which employee actually deserves the merit of success, or who's actually contributing the necessary support to make things happen.

Nilarang: How to cook this Cebuano dish...

Nilarang is a cebuano cuisine that is similar to the Sinigang of the Tagalog region. I had trouble searching for the proper recipe on the internet so I decided to make one but with a twist. I added some kangkong leaves to add some flavor.

Half Kilo Fish (I used Maya-maya)
4 Cloves Garlic (chopped)
2 Pcs Onions (chopped)
4 Cayeene Pepper (chopped)
3 pcs Ripe Tomatoes (chopped)
Half Cup Black Beans (liquid stock drained, and washed with tapwater)
1 Cup Kangkong Leaves
3 tbsp Cooking Oil
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
5 Cups Water
Salt and MSG for seasoning

How to cook:

          1. Saute garlic in cooking pot using 3 tbsp cooking oil. Add Onions, Sili, and Tomatoes after Garlic has turned golden brown.

2. Add Fish.

3. Add Black Beans and Soy Sauce. Let simmer for 15 minutes.

4. Add 5 cups water and let it simmer again for 10 minutes.

5. Add Salt and MSG according to your taste.

6. Toss in the kangkong leaves and serve.

7. Enjoy!

Comptia A+ Certification

Lately I am planning to get my computer skills certified. I read a lot of articles on different kinds of certification such as TESDA NCII, CISCO CCNA, and CompTIA A+. What interested me the most was the CompTIA A+ since it is a vendor neutral certification compared to CISCO's CCNA. CompTIA A+ is a certification issued by CompTIA to proficient persons in the computer technical support field. CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) is a non-profit trade association, was created in 1982 as the Association of Better Computer Dealers, Inc. (ABCD) by representatives of five microcomputer dealerships. Over the course of a decade, ABCD laid the groundwork for many of CompTIA’s initiatives and member benefits.

The only problem I have is time. I do not have the luxury of taking a refresher course on hardware and software basics since I am tied up full time to a company. So after reading a lot of forum and some googling, I came across a book that is the answer to my problem.

The book is CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, 8th Edition (Exams 220-801 & 220-802). It is written by Mike Myers, a CompTIA A+ and Network+ certified instructor. As what I have read from the buyers' reviews, they all gave this book very good ratings. So I have decided to save up some cash to buy this book, study it from cover to cover and hope to pass in CompTIA's A+ certification someday.
